Solar Car
This section is still under development. I hope to post pictures and stories about my experience in the University of Minnesota Solar Vehicle Project. I'm a member of the Electrical team and one of the executives that helps direct the group. The concentration of the Electrical team is to construct a driver interface, motor, power trackers, batteries, telemetry systems, radios, a rear camera, and blinkers among other things (but not the solar array). My main focus in the group along with three of my friends and teammates is to create the driver interface and display. The interface allows the driver to accelerate the car, or stop the car. It also allows the driver to turn on blinkers, recharge the batteries, etc. Another part of this system is the display which provides the driver with useful information about how the car is running. This field has given me an opportunity to research and implement LCD technology, and hopefully some newer more experimental technologies like OLEDs or NanoChromics.
